The National Museum of the American Latino Launches a New Exhibition Website: ¡Presente!
The Smithsonian’s newest museum, the National Museum of the American Latino (NMAL), has launched an expansive new exhibition website to support ¡Presente! A Latino History of the United States. The exhibition opens on June 18th in the National Museum of American History. Congress has approved funding for the establishment of a new museum that will be located and built in the near future.
Interactive Knowledge was chosen by NMAL staff to design the exhibition website and we worked with the Smithsonian’s team of developers to create and launch ¡Presente! Key features of the site include:
- Fully bilingual content
- Interactive gallery map
- Original videos
- Images of the exhibition cases
- 3D viewer for several objects from the Smithsonian collection
- Archival images and access information about dozens of artifacts from the exhibition
