In 2009, The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) received a two-year grant to create an educational website that helps public health professionals recognize and act more effectively on the social injustices at the root of health inequity.
The issue of health inequity in America is addressed in a California Newsreel documentary titled, “Unnatural Causes.” IK built an educational website to support that film. NACCHO was a partner on that project. They recently invited IK to design and build a large online curriculum and social networking community site for public health professionals. The NIH-funded project will focus on health inequity, its causes and remedies. We will build the site in Drupal and host it for NACCHO.
